A passion growing day after day

History from the beggining

The first idea of this type of bike rack was invented in 1994 by a man named Gaston Poulin. After many drawings, he finally succeed to create a model.

The first model of the bike rack was sold in 1995 until 2009 and was called the GP Futura 2002. It was made of metal in its entirety and weighed 35 pounds (13.6 kg). It was a fixed model and therefore not retractable.

Later, he had the idea of making plastic bike racks to reduce weight, but he quickly realized that plastic would not survive the bad weather in Quebec. So he opted for aluminum. Over the years, the GP Futura 2002 has undergone modifications that have it improved.

The second model, which we know today, is not so different from the first as its shape, but it is lower in height than the first.

In 2011, Gaston Poulin’s grandson acquires the company to manage expansion in Canada and United States.
